iPod reclaimed by owner after taking European trip 28. ágúst 2014 20:42 Most people who lose their iPods abroad tend to never see them again. It's even less likely that the iPod goes on a European trip for a few weeks before coming back home by mail. But this is exactly what happened to Júlía Guðbjörnsdóttir and her iPod. „It's insane," Júlia says, whom received an iPod yesterday by mail that she had lost in Sweden earlier this summer. "I can go back out jogging now." The iPod came with a letter from four young Swedes whom found her iPod in the rental car she had used on her summer holiday. „They must have taken the car after us and found it in one of the seats somewhere. I was sending a lot of stuff to Iceland and they also found a receipt with my name and address in the glove compartment. Cleary the car rental service didn't clean the car in between, so they assumed that the iPod belonged to the address on the receipt."Took a photo series with the iPod The kind Swedes didn't return the iPod right away, but took it with them on their journey around Europe and took photos wherever they went. These photos were included with the letter to Júlía so she could learn of the travels of her iPod, which included Amsterdam, Hamburg and Champagné in France. The Swedes made a postcard from each location. The iPod came with a letter and a series of photos.„They put some effort into this", Júlía says. "The iPod is always in the photo, usually next to a beer or such." In the letter from the Swedes they said that they wanted to make sure that the iPod also got a chance to enjoy a holiday. Júlía and the Swedes are now all friends on Facebook and she has invited them to come visit Iceland soon to visit the iPod. „They're also cute guys, which doesn't hurt," she adds.
