Dagur Kári Awarded

The Icelandic director Dagur Kári Pétursson will receive the prestigious Danish film award the Emil Refn Award. The money prize is one million Icelandic kronur. Dagur Kári is the fifth director to receive the award, before him Lars Von Trier, Lukas Moodysson, Nicolas Winding Refn and Natasha Arthy received the prize. The ceremony will take place on Wednesday next week. On Thursday at the Danish-Icelandic movie days at Nordens Brygge a special program will be dedicated to Dagur Kári, the short film Old Spice as well as Noi Albinoi will be screened.
