Record number of Applications

The University of Reykjavik received just over 1,800 applications for this autumn. The relatively newly founded college has never received so many applications before, and around 1,000 students will be awarded a place this autumn. Steinn Jóhannson, director of the University's teaching sector says that there's a good balance between the sexes of applicants. The number of men to apply were 52,5 percent to 47,5 percent women.
