Towel Taken Off Market 22. júní 2006 13:06 Household goods store Rúmfatalagerinn has pulled a brand of towel from their shelves after it was brought to light that the towels might be made from child labour. The towels, made by the company Capri, are exported to Iceland from the Danish company Jysk, who buy them directly from the manufacturer. A few days ago, Danish television indicated that this manufacturer engages in child labour. "We have no interest in selling such goods," said Rúmfatalagerinn general manager Magnús Kjartan Sigurðsson. "The moment it was brought to our attention that there was some problem with this towel we took it off the shelves immediately." Department store Hagkaup has followed suit, by taking these towels off their shelves as well. - pfn News News in English Mest lesið Bríet krefur Pálma Ragnar um átta milljónir króna Innlent Vaknaði óttasleginn með sex ósvöruð símtöl frá Matthíasi og þrjár milljónir á reikningnum Innlent Páll skipstjóri stígur fram og boðar áfrýjun Innlent Icelandair enn og aftur í vandræðum Innlent Lögreglumenn „búnir að fá sig fullsadda“ af nagladekkjum Innlent „Mean girls“-stemning í munnlegu prófi við HÍ Innlent Hnífjafnt til hægri og vinstri Innlent Golfklúbbarnir í óðaönn við að útbúa sérstaka félagsaðild Innlent Enginn möguleiki á meirihluta til vinstri samkvæmt nýrri könnun Innlent Landlæknir braut á deildarstjóra réttargeðdeildar Innlent
